I’m getting a HDTV later this year to play my PS3 in HD. I got a computer hd monitor that has a resolution of 1024×1024. Is that a HD resolution? Just want to know because I want to see what my games look like in HD.

I am currently running my PS3 via HDMI (ps3) to DVI (hd hd monitor).
Would I be able to do the same with a cable box that has HDMI output?
My hd hd monitor is 720p and I get 720p output on all games/blu-ray and it says it’s HDCP ready on the box.

is connecting the laptop to an external hd hd monitor (hd) fixes the frame rate of games that are slow on the laptop hd hd monitor its self??or this operation will also use the laptop’s video card??
